My Lord, strong and unbreakable is the eternal bond of faith in Christ. Grateful is my heart that such a tether has been applied to my soul. Make my love deeper still. Flood my affections with zeal for Your glory, God. Take away all that I have in this world, only do not take away Your presence from my daily life. My hands are open Lord. I let go of all earthly treasure so that I can hold onto the eternal treasures of faith, hope and love. Jesus, I carry Your Name far above my own. Let me deny myself and take up my cross in the power of Your Spirit. When arrows of adversity draw blood from my soul, Jesus, let me not deny the healing power of Your blood which covers me. My love for my Savior is a deep stream of living water into which I will dive when persecution inflicts harm and weariness invokes temptation. May I not be swayed by promises of honor or riches or fame at the expense of abiding in my Lord. Such ordinary attachments lack the power to sever the cord of eternal salvation and diminish love stronger than the grave. Jesus, my locked up heart could only be opened by the key of Your truth. Despite the inadequacy of the contents You find therein, Your love floods every neglected crevice until life returns to that which was dead. Lord, the intensity of Your love is my solace, my hope, my refuge and my life. Under the mighty Word of truth in Song of Solomon 8:6 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

Set me as a seal upon Your heart, as a seal upon Your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord.
