Today’s Prayer

My blessed Savior, how grateful my heart is for Your ever-sufficient grace. Even when I find myself in darkness my whereabouts are not hidden from You. My straying soul does not wander beyond the boundaries encompassed by divine sight because You are omniscient and omnipresent. Though I could never fathom from whence the next folly will assault me, seducing me from obedience, You are already at work planning my route of escape. Thank You for not leaving me to my own devices. I make a terrible guide with a deceitful heart as a compass. Thank You, Jesus, for the recalibration of my spirit by infusing me with Your own. Truly I am capable of so much more with You than I ever could do without You. You cured my blindness by revealing the light even after I had grown comfortably accustomed to the darkness. You illuminated my treacherous path of destruction so that I could turn and go Your way instead of my own. Holy Father, I humbly respect Your boundaries. I delightfully embrace Your limits even when I do not fully understand why. You have forgiven my opposition and looked upon my iniquity with love. So I gladly close my eyes and take Your hand in faith. Jesus, let me see through Your eyes with love’s unique sight. Under the beauty of the Word given in Psalm 82:4-5 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly bow in prayer.

Rescue the weak and needy.
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
They don’t know, neither do they understand.
They walk back and forth in darkness.
Psalm 82:4-5, WEB
