Lord, awaken me with Your nearness. Pull me out of the stupor of my lax holiness. How dreadful when temptation distracts me with its ugly allurements. Only You can energize me away from slothful religious experiences devoid of true worship. Authenticate my heart, Lord Jesus. Make me a truly devoted disciple. Let me not be dull in spiritual joys. I want to be rejuvenated to the highest degree with awareness of Your presence. In prayer, let me hear Your voice of instruction and heed with surrendered obedience. Father, I live in a perishing world under the canopy of eternal life. The contrariness of such an existence can be exhausting at times. Wake my heart, Lord, and lift any smothering sadness. Gratitude is both an anchor in life’s storms and a buoy when afflictions drown me. Thank You for hearing my heart. Thank You for fighting for vitality in this perishable body. Thank You for saving me. Under the mighty Word of God in Romans 12:1-2 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2, NIV
Gratitude is both an anchor in life’s storms and a buoy when afflictions drown me–Amen!
