My heart sings the praises of the King. My soul rejoices in God, my Savior. While the world clamors in chaotic reaction to the unfolding times, anchor me in the sweet abiding peace of Your presence, Jesus. Take me into the eternal embrace that captivates my thoughts with truth while shielding me from deception. Your Word is my refuge. Your heart, God, is my home. Bring divine vitality into my days, Lord. Curtail my speech so that my words build up, not tear down. You have given me life by way of the cross. Let me live in service to others in order to bring glory to Your Name. I marvel at the prospect of Your coming, Lord. I am filled with gratitude that You already came as Messiah, Prince of Peace, God with us. You brought us the melody of salvation that eases the laments. You brought the bounty of love for those starving souls. You cured the ache of broken hearts. And still Your work continues. Let Your people cling to You, Lord Jesus. Let Your beloved carry on in Your great Name, mighty King. Under the Word given and adored in Isaiah 9:6 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in humble prayer.

For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on His shoulders. His Name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
