My Father in heaven, keep me in perpetual communion with You. There are so many other voices, so many contrary thoughts that clamor for my attention. But in the secret place of my being, let me hear the consistent echoes of heavenly communication. It is a gift of such worth that it cannot be measured by the standards of this world. Intimate communication with the Father of my spirit, the Creator of my soul and Leader of my body. And even though this connection of divine importance is hidden from the world, its effect is not. Purge my ears from all earthly negativity. Train my heart to listen to the chords of heaven. Only then will I notice the resonating hum of truth, the whispers of encouragement and the guiding counsel that comes form the lips of my Savior. I know that You never stop talking to me, Lord. Forgive me for the many times that I fail to listen. Love communicates. Love never gives up. Love responds to love. Set this seal upon my heart. You are true and You are worthy. I confess my sin to You because I am in need of cleansing. I pledge my heart to You because You know my way. I speak to You, my God and my King, because You first spoke to me. Under the beauty of the Word in Song of Solomon 8:6 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.

Place me like a seal over Your heart, like a seal on Your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.
