Today’s Prayer

Lord, I am gratefully secure in the knowledge that You will finish every good work You began. Let my heart and my life be an example of such a beautiful truth. You are the Alpha and Omega. Your promises are as true in the beginning as they are at the end. May my faith in Your Holy Word remain steadfast upon the rock of spiritual loyalty. I have witnessed much and I have yet to witness more of You. The deep thirst that created a drought in my soul has been quenched at last by the influx of Your living water. You heard the panting desires and deep needs of my soul, Lord. Your compassion responded without delay. The mighty sword of the Spirit wielded by arms of love severed the silver cord of wealth and worldly pleasure that kept me tethered to deceit. My heart melted at the revelation of such freedom. Freedom purchased at the cost of blood so precious and valuable. Jesus, only You could take every fractured piece of my soul and fashion it back together according to its original design. The disease of deceit may have wreaked havoc on my spirit, but there is no infirmity of the soul which cannot be healed by the indwelling power of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Father, for never forsaking those You love. Thank You for second chances which overlook former vanities and wash away the poison that sin brought to my soul. The scorching of my own guilt was not wasted, Lord. Turn me, again and again, toward You as You keep me steady on the narrow path of life eternal. Under the Word of the Lord in Galatians 5:1 and the authority of my Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus, I pray.

Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1, WEB
