Today’s Prayer

Let a single drop of truth be absorbed in my heart and Your faithfulness will drench my soul in grace, Lord God. Only You have the power to release me from deceit’s stranglehold. As my shepherd, You can lead me to the fountain of salvation. Every morsel of compassion You have shown me feeds my starved soul. In the midst of trembling circumstances, it is Your mighty arm that holds me. Your embrace comforts me. To be received by You is the greatest treasure. Though I have been poor in spirit, I am richly blessed because You chose me, Jesus. When my spirit melts in the fires of adversity, You gently cool my emotions and restore my soul. My heaviest thoughts can be placed on the altar as an offering so that they do not burden me anymore. Former vanities and sin were poison to my soul until You revealed to me the antidote of divine love shown on the cross. May those who continually hunger be scorched by their own conscious plight and seek You out. May those who thirst find the One who can lead them to the waters of life. May the pardon and grace You have extended to me reach those who I love, Lord God. I am grateful for Your patient desire to see everyone come to repentance. Let a single drop of conviction make people aware of their deepest need until we are driven to our knees before You. Under the mighty truth of God set down in Ephesians 3:14-19 and the authority of Christ I bow in prayer.

For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, that you may be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
