Today’s Prayer

The faithfulness of the Lord God is majestic to behold. For while I was still a sinner, Christ died for the ungodly. Let my conscience accuse me and the Spirit of the Lord convict me. I have been found by grace. The Lord is not silent to the distress of His beloved. It is my own tendency to become distracted that deafens me to Your counsel, God. Let me stand upon the rock of Your promises when all around me feels like shifting sand. Only Your Word is my true foundation. My cries for help are never in vain. Despite the myriad weaknesses representative of my fleshly nature, in Christ I find both strength and shield. With You, Lord, I can fight the battles, knowing I am protected. There is no better way to walk than in Your ways, Jesus. May the exaltation of my praise reach heaven’s throne room. Only God has the power to rescue. Only God can restore the lost and mend the broken. Though the pit of death was wide open before me, Your mighty arm held me back for the greater purpose of glorifying You in life. You brought me up from the grave so I could live to tell the story of my rescuing Savior. Your love astounds me. Your grace upholds me. Your mercy is my eternal solace. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord and seek Him while He may be found. Under the majesty of the Word of God set down in Romans 3:23-25 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins.
