Show me the way to live for Your glory, Lord. Lead me in the way everlasting until the way I live lasts forever. Make my affections holy desirous of You and only You, Jesus. Let my worship remain faithful because You have been faithful to me. Lord, color my inspirations with love so bright that anyone looking sees right through me and straight into Your heart. You are my substance and my essence, God. I pray to be rid of all parts of myself that do not exalt You. Grow my belief and my knowledge of You with intimate power only Your presence provides. Open up my empty spaces to Your Spirit’s filling. Saturate my heart with gratitude for Your blessed inheritance acquired through salvation. Work in Your beloved a spirit of love, power, and sound thinking. Though the world surrounding me often warps virtue with vice, let me hold fast to the anchor of Your Word which shows me the blessed purity of truth in the innermost parts. Only You can sculpt me into a warrior for Your Name, Lord God. My strength and courage comes from You alone. Stand me strong against the enemy that vies for attention. Vanquish the fear that undermines Your message. Humble me beneath Your mighty hand, Lord God, as You clothe me with a meek and quiet spirit that is eager to be taught by You. Whatever belongs to my earthly nature, You can put to death. And I invite You to do so. Take me on a journey to contentment. A journey that can only lead me to Your heart, God. Show me the way to live because You are my life and my way, Jesus. Under the Word of the Lord set down in 2 Timothy 1:6-8 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord.
