Work in me a spiritual disposition that glorifies who You are, Lord God. Only You can renew my soul and make it right again. Your Spirit’s deposit has the power to make my devotion genuine. Let me not quench the Spirit through sin and rebellious resistance. I want to live the way You desire me to, Lord God. Teach me to speak truth from the heart. Show me how to walk in faith authentically, not giving lip service to Your commands but wholeheartedly living in them. Empower Your servant to abide in the work You give me, making me steadfast and immovable as I stand upon a foundation of truth. Wrap Your loving hands around my soul Lord, applying pressure where needed in order to shape me into Christ-likeness. Keep me impressed by the treasures within Your Word. Keep me grateful for Your providence. Keep me fearless beneath Your sovereignty. And touch my entire life with affectionate zeal for Your glory. May every impulse of my heart be directed by Your Spirit. Under the mighty truth of Your Word set down in Psalm 19:13-14 and the authority of Christ, my Redeemer, I pray.

Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
    let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
    and innocent of great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
    be acceptable in Your sight,
    O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
