My sovereign Lord, take my private meditations beneath the canopy of Your holiness. Drive away all carnal rumination that defiles my mind. Chase away selfish thoughts which taint the sacred themes woven within the fabric of my heart through Your Holy Word. Let me focus on that which is good, honest and true. Make my mouth erupt in kindness and encouragement which will speak of the blessedness my relationship with You has granted me. Lord, make my cavernous heart so filled with Your love that it must overflow into the lives of those I meet. Chase sleep from my spirit. You know I am prone to the drowsiness that comes by way of cultural influence. In Your presence I want to be fully awake. No matter the inconvenience or trial, I do not want to forsake this journey with You, my Lord Jesus. Though tempted to hide in a cave of religiosity, let me embrace the wide open space of divine relationship leading me along the path of salvation. With courage granted me from on high, let me take each step without fear of the enemy arrows because my shield of faith is enough to protect this fragile heart of mine. My privileges in the Lord are boundless. My repentance is thorough. My love is devoted. My hope is fervent. Let the ghastly demons taunt. Let the worldly influences attempt corruption. Your servant delights to be fully occupied in the holy business of the Lord where there is immunity beneath the covering of love incorruptible. Beneath the blessed Word of the Lord set down in Ephesians 6:23-24 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in humble prayer.
