Today’s Prayer

Expand my heart with genuine faith, Lord. Send forth the gentle influence of Your Spirit to guide and direct my daily steps. Only You can grant my mind the power to understand the mighty truth of Your Word and live by it. Though Your servant is weak, You are strongest in the midst of my frailty. Inspire me with integrity that stands secure upon the rock of my Redeemer. Let love abound in genuine desire as You teach me through a myriad of confrontations with those I would deem my enemies. In the battle of fleshly preference, Lord God, may Your will supersede my selfishness. May Your glory override my tendency toward self-preservation. My reputation is nothing but chaff that easily blows away in the wind. It is my identity in Christ that will last forever. So wherever You place me in life, let me accept the assignment with gratitude. Whatever I am doing, let it be done with the intent of impacting Your Kingdom. As long as I remember I am Yours, I need not fear the world. When sorrow depresses me, Jesus, You are the lifter of my head. When trouble assails me, You are the One who walks with me through the fire. May the blessed assurance granted me through Christ remain forever woven into the fabric of my identity. It matters not how others see me, Lord. All that matters is if they see You through me. Truly, my heart is alive because You have saved me Jesus. Impart the power of salvation through the words I speak and the actions I take in the course of a single day. Pour into my soul nobler thoughts. Hem me into holier living. Make me a genuine example worthy of Your Name. Under the blessed assurance of the Word in Zechariah 14:9 and the authority of Christ I pray.

Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and His name one.
Zechariah 14:9, WEB

  1. As long as I remember I am Yours, I need not fear the world. When sorrow depresses me, Jesus, You are the lifter of my head. When trouble assails me, You are the One who walks with me through the fire–Amen!
