Hasten the Spirit’s manifestation in this new life You have given me, Lord. Though I was poor, wretched, and empty, You have enriched me with blessed faith. Help me to fight the good fight, Lord, remembering daily to put on the armor You have given me. Though many in this world are against me, I delight to be on Your side. Grant me gentle nudges when I have succumbed to the weariness that distracts me from daily communion with You, Jesus. Only You can supply what I need. I cannot live tomorrow on yesterday’s portion of intimacy. Keep me ever aware of the waning spiritual connection so that I do not become like Samson – not recognizing the absence of Your Spirit in my life. Let my hungry soul feast daily in Your Word. Let my restless heart find rest in my Savior. Let there be more of You and less of me each passing day. It matters not what I accomplish in life as long as my life was devoted to offering myself to You, Almighty God. In You, there is life everlasting. In You, there is a beautified purpose. With whatever time has been allotted for Your servant, Lord, make Your Spirit come alive in me. May Your Kingdom come and Your holy will be done. Under the Word of the Lord set down in 2 Timothy 4:7 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
