Today’s Prayer

Jesus, You are my refuge. Though the circumstances of life put me on shaking ground, I know I am safe with You. Whatever calamity befalls me will be used for good according to Your will. Even in my misunderstanding Lord, keep me standing firm in faith. When nothing makes sense, I know You are good. I trust that all things are tools in the hand of my Maker. Beneath the canopy of Your sovereign will, the story of my life unfolds. In the shadow of Your wings, the redeemed of the Lord find shelter from the storms of cultural influence. In earnestness, I seek You Jesus. With thirst, I bow before the wells of salvation. Be exalted, Lord, in the lives of Your beloved. There is power in no other Name. With my own eyes, I have seen glimpses of Your glory. With my own lips, I have confessed my transgressions against You. Father, let Your child continually marvel. Let Your creation embrace the amazing power of forgiveness. Only Jesus can impart my true inheritance. Only the Lord can bring me into the land of the living. Bless the Lord who guides me even in the night seasons. Bless the One who is my rock, the firm foundation upon which I stand. Like the inhalation of divine breath, my hope rises and falls on nothing less than the truth of my Lord crucified and risen again. Teach me to live in the refuge of such hope now and always, Lord God. Under the beauty of Your Word set down in Isaiah 12:2-4 and the authority of Christ Jesus I come before the Almighty in prayer.

“Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and He has become my salvation.” Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation. In that day you will say, “Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on His Name! Declare His doings among the peoples! Proclaim that His Name is exalted!”
