Lord God Almighty, dig a foundation of holiness around the vestiges of daily living. Let Your grace and mercy gush forth as a stream of living water, fresh and pure from Your heavenly dwelling. Wash Your truth over me and Your love through me, Lord Jesus, until my soul is utterly cleansed and my heart purified. I look to You, God, to alleviate my sorrows. In Your presence is joy forevermore. May the fragrance of Christ’s salvation blossom thoroughly in Word and deed. In seasons of trial, Your way is the only way to victory Lord. Forgive my wayward tendency to locate a shortcut if the longer journey has been deemed beneficial according to Your sovereign will. Cover my vulnerabilities with the blanket of Your divine affection. When my soul shivers from the effects of sin, Your Word warms me with hope. When my heart crumbles beneath the pressure of performing to worldly standards, You remind me that Your love extends to the least of these. The first becomes the last in Your Kingdom. May Your servant not be in a rush to move beyond where You want me to be for now, Lord. When my situation seems precarious, Your intercession is my solace, Jesus. When trouble abounds, Your assured victory is the anchor in the storm. Every breath is a mighty gift with divine responsibility. Let the wind of the Spirit blow through my life and into this world until Your glory becomes my sustenance. Truly, You are the King whose diligent search for the lost has become the grace of the world. Under the beauty and majesty of Hebrews 7:22-25 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

By so much, Jesus has become the collateral of a better covenant. Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death. But He, because He lives forever, has His priesthood unchangeable. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, seeing that He lives forever to make intercession for them.
