Lord, I praise You for the daily bread that sustains my soul. Sweet morsels of truth available in Your Word and Your holy presence nourish the diseased portions of my being. Bowing down in grateful adoration, I lift up prayers of thanksgiving for the treasured inheritance You have granted me in Christ. Your goodness is infinite. Your beauty is breathtaking. You saw through my filth and drew forth the gem of faith which You planted there. Purge me of any rebellious tendency as thoroughly as You would wash the feet of Your followers. Make me more fruitful for the glory of Your Name, Jesus. Your way is perfect and my desire is to follow it completely. Take Your shepherd staff and gently nudge me along when I have strayed too far from the narrow way that will keep me in line with Your destiny for this life. My faith is small but devoted Lord. Increase it for Your sake. Mold my speech to be that of an ambassador from Your heavenly Kingdom. Move the wind of the Spirit in my direction Lord, and let it blow through my entire being. Take me as I am, but do not leave me there. Carry me where I should be. Show me the way to go. It is my pleasure and delight to follow You. Under the mighty and blessed Word of God in Matthew 7:13-14 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14, NIV
