Let the impressions of Satan not leave a mark on the soul of Your beloved, Lord. May the sparks of condemnation be effectively quenched as they fall into the Living Water of Your Spirit coursing through my heart. When temptation fastens to my soul, Lord Jesus, You are the One who shows me the path to freedom. Our sweet communion is far too often interrupted by my own distracting thoughts. Unite me to the anchor of Your Word so that Your perfect peace is not mangled by being carried away in sinful rumination. Every scandalous action begins as a conniving thought. Each step toward doom is taken by following the self-justifying footprints of excuse. Rid me of such unsavory breathings, Lord. Let me not be fruitful in the jungle of sinful ideas. Chase away the possessing shadows that infect and mar the beauty of salvation. Lead me, Lord Jesus, to the light when darkness attempts to keep me in its clutches. It is in Your power alone to deliver Your children out of the jaws of death. There is no foe who can match Your power, God. There is no power greater than Your love. Take me to the purity of knowing Your Word so intimately that I can shield my most vulnerable parts with the shield of faith that You have given those who call on Your Name. Keep my heart close to Yours, Jesus. Season its contents with heavenly meditation that reminds the enemy he is not welcomed in the space claimed by the Holy One. Filled with gratitude that I am Yours, may Your beloved be assured that Your defense is my source of peace. Under the beautiful reminder of Isaiah 26:3 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
