My Review

This book is the dramatic re-telling of the twelve spies visiting the Promised Land. As a result of the report brought back by the spies, the fledging Israelites experience conflict within themselves and with the God they serve.

Caleb and Joshua stand out as main characters that are both warriors and heroes in this saga. Kain expertly takes the reader into the mind of his characters in a way that brings opportunities for personal parallels with deeper Scriptural themes. He truly brings the scenes in the Bible to life.

The author introduces several situations that challenge the Bible student to review Bible history. This was easy to read and interesting enough that it was hard to take a break.
