Lord, there is help for troubling times when I seek Your presence in the chaos. Extend Your eternal compassion to one as lowly and undone as me. Before You, I was tangled in a web of lies that I agreed to. Only Your intricately personal fingers could unravel that knot that bound me. Only Your designer’s eye could weave my heart back into the fabric of truth from which I was created. With my own eyes I have seen the life in Your Word. I know the salvation available on the cross. Subdue the entirety of my heart with love. Crucify me with Christ so that I can be dead to sin and deaf to lies. I want to live in the light of truth. Through the fruit of the Spirit may I bear Your image, Lord. Where offense has pricked my heart, let there be forgiveness. Where anxiety robs me, let there be peace. The heaviness of depression is lifted because You have given me joy. And even when my enemy provokes me, Your Spirit enables me to respond with kindness. Whatever lurks in my soul that might undermine Your intentions Lord Jesus, let it be dealt with most severely. Accomplish through me all that You will. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for the help in times of trouble. Yours is the Kingdom and the glory forever. Under the blessed assurance of the Word in Galatians 2:20 and the authority of Christ, I bow in adoring prayer.
