Your presence is more than sufficient to meet the formidable appetite of many temptations. In the battle between the flesh and the spirit, Lord Almighty, help me to choose spirit every time. My weakness is only as deplorable as the resistance to Your grace that accompanies it. Lead me to yield and surrender in total abandon, Father. I resolve not to make lofty declarations of intent when I cannot trust my own desires. Holiness is a proclivity that does not come naturally, but spiritually. Jesus, root out the corruption that taints the good work You do. My own assumptions often lead me straight into the hands of the enemy. Through divine inspiration that only comes from abiding in You, I can whole-heartedly oppose whatever blocks Your will from manifesting in my life. Though I came to You in shame, I am not ashamed to be called Yours! Your strength dwarfs my own. Your mercy blots every stain. Your grace is the canopy that covers the scorching heat of adversity. Assist me in my choices, Lord. Keep me away from the enticing reach of this world. Let my soul reach only for heaven by grasping Your hand. Without You, I cannot survive the combat. I lift up praise and worship You from the depths of gratitude I am only beginning to uncover. Your presence is my solace. Under the Word of truth set down in James 1:17 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
