When a sensed distance convinces me that You have forsaken me, Lord, help me not cling to the lie when I have the truth of Your Word as my safeguard in the storm. Your way, Jesus, leads me through this dry, desert season. Help me traverse the landscape by following the footsteps of Your promise, not my deceiving heart. Father, show me how to trust You more than what I am feeling. Your comfort is the sweetest treasure. Let it be manifested in my life as much now as it has been in the past. Your wisdom lifts me above the cloudy emotions until I can see the clear blue skies of saving grace. I know that Your heart is for me, Lord, not against me. Bring me to a new level of confidence in Your presence that goes beyond emotion and straight to the depths of an abiding soul. If there is any behavioral choice on my part that has driven a wedge between us, make me aware of it, Lord. Lead me to the oasis of repentance. Purge me of defiling contents and teach me what will be beneficial for Your glory as I go through this dry season. Nothing is wasted or in vain when given to You. Father, sift these times through Your fingertips until that sense of intimate fellowship between us is ours again. Under the blessed Word of truth in Philippians 4:8 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
