Lord, I bring You my evening desires cloaked in weariness. I place my morning petitions upon the altar as the offering for a new day. Set my heart’s motivations on heavenly things. Lift up my heavy countenance so I can enjoy the sublime doctrine of love so pure and eternal that nothing else comes close. Who am I that You have granted me liberty to come to this close communion? You know the intricate wiring of my soul, Lord. You know I aspire to experience the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your presence and Lordship in my life. I draw near to You, my precious and complete Savior. Captivate my view of You so that my thoughts are filtered from a divine perspective. Let Your Spirit’s anointing not be in vain. There is work You have ordained specifically for each of Your beloved followers. Show me the way, Jesus. Every chamber of this soul unlocks the key of Your truth and Your Word. Make my soul Your dwelling and my heart Your throne. Fill the crevices, those dry and brittle places, with living water. There is no thirst You cannot satisfy. Lord, I bring it all to You. Let this day be a new beginning. Under the sweet assurance of the Word found in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
