Lord, pour Your promise into the empty cup of my soul until it runs over with Your grace and mercy. There is no desire on my heart that stretches beyond the boundary of salvation in Christ. Because the truth has set Your captives free, those once dead in sin are alive in You. Fleshly desire is as insatiable as death. But the desire of the Spirit is fully satisfied in You. You who fill all vacant souls. You who never gives up on those You love. Though I can scarcely measure the capacity of my needs, Your immeasurable generosity more than overflows what I am lacking. Truly, I am complete when I am in You. May my wants settle on the one thing, while not permitting my heart to be distracted by nonsense. Your all-sufficiency is enough when everything around me fails. Whether You grant me quiet satisfaction or rapturous delight, I worship You. Sing my soul a song melodious with chords of praise. Let the lyrics match the steadfastness of the Holy One’s promises. In abiding I find myself swimming in a sea of blissful anticipation because eternity is a shoreless ocean of time upon which You have set my heart to sail. Sparkle in my words, Lord God. Make love motivate my actions. My soul craves more of You. As I pour out I can rest assured that You are pouring in. Under the blessed canopy of the Word found in Psalm 72:18-19 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel,
who alone does marvelous deeds.
Praise be to His glorious Name forever;
may the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen and Amen.
