Truly, Your truth sets me free, Lord Jesus. When I face a battle of faith, You are the only One who can supply me with weapons for the fight. Ultimately, this struggle is harder or easier depending on what I believe about You. Keep showing Your glory and revealing Your heart in my life, Lord. Past experience with father figures in my life often influences the filter through which I see You. Help me see You through Your Word, not through my own relationships. Experiences in childhood either make me less likely to trust or more likely to abandon myself into Your hands. Give me faith like a child not yet scarred by broken promises. May the people in my life not influence my assumptions about Your level of compassion for me. Jesus, You are my security. You sculpt my identity. Trusting You is not an action I will ever regret. My belief is built on the solid rock that You are who You say You are. Your strength and power outweighs the heaviness of any problem. You understand my situation. You know this battlefield like the back of Your hand. Through this trial, let me know You better. Root my faith deeper, Lord Jesus. Make me stronger in Christ as I face the enemy, Your sword in my hand, and Your helmet on my head. Victory is Yours, Lord Jesus. I fight on Your side in this war. Under the blessed assurance of truth set down in Ephesians 6:10-11 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
