Whenever I am afraid, let my soul find solace in the refuge offered me in Christ. The depth of Your heart is the secret place the troubled soul can find rest, Lord God. Within the fabric of Your promises, the frigid consequences of sin are neutralized. I come to You with shattered pieces. You carefully fix the broken. Truly the vacancy within is a space only You can fill, Lord Jesus. The knees that tremble are steadied on the firm foundation of Your Word. Reveal to me the best way to wade through the floodwaters of emotion that accompany difficult circumstances. In the storms of life, Your presence anchors me. Seeking You is the truest delight. Though I was captive, You have set my soul free through the gentle touch of divine power. Clarify my sight, Lord, so that my eyes will filter all things through a lens of faith that centers me on eternal horizons which stretch beyond temporal boundaries. You are the Author of peace, Lord Jesus. Write truth upon my heart as each chapter of this life unfolds to Your glory. Under the blessed assurance of Psalm 56:3-4 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
