Revive the weary soul of Your servant, Lord. My conscience speaks of my forgetfulness. My declension is evidence of heart wandering. Bring the awareness of my condition to a full-fledged sense of humility before Your throne. There is no excuse for my departure from the One who designed my soul. Hear the deep-rooted groans of displeasure lodged within me, Lord. Every moment is filled with weeping because of the choices which have caused me to alienate myself from Your presence. Piety is without luster if the light of truth and intimacy no longer shines through the prism of holiness in my life. When I lose this sense of connection Lord Jesus, let me cry the tears of grief over the loss. For I know that the incessant, continuous strain of such misery surely reaches Your ears. You are not deaf to the troubled soul. You are a God who remembers. Let the cries of the blessed prevail upon Your heart. In Your power, the weary are revived and the listless restored. The wanderer is guided home and the rebel is redesigned into an ally. Truly, Your lovingkindness is revealed as I contemplate all that You have done. Sweeten the memories of Your faithfulness, God, until Your beloved returns to the sheepfold. Only Your mighty hand can balance me along the edge of grace and holiness. Keep Your servant in step with the Spirit by steering me away from indulgence to myself and competition with others. Assist me when emotion flares into negativity and doubt by turning the will of my thoughts back in Your direction. Rebuild my character in the power of a revival of soul which ultimately keeps me walking forward in step with the Spirit of my Lord. Under the beauty of the Word in Galatians 5:25-26 and the authority of Christ I pray.

 If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
