Make me into a highly favored object of Your ardent affection, Lord God. Your love is everlasting. Your mercies renew each sunrise. Let the plans of my day be folded into Your perfect will. Order every appointment and divine interruption. Grant me wisdom to choose words with soul precision. Grant me patience that holds unsavory emotions in check. Truly, Your desires triumph over my own. Unite them, Lord Jesus, until the two become one. Rid me of the disease of selfishness that taints every motivation until destiny is crippled. Keep me safely upon the appointed path. Prepare Your beloved for the storms and trials that inevitably come. Beneath the umbrella of Your salvation any storm can be weathered. My eyes flicker with amazement as faith gives me the lens through which I can view the cross. Only You can bring beauty out of evil. There is no greater marvel than the redemption You offer mankind. Your love carries intimate designs that carve truth into the soul. What once was sharp and deadly becomes soft and inviting in Christ. Your fulfilled promise is my solace. Your approval is my honor. Steady my walk, Lord Jesus, as You keep designing me, heart and soul. Upon the secure foundation of truth in 1 Corinthians 13:8 and the authority of Christ I bow in prayer.
