Today’s Prayer

Holy and true is Your Great Name, my Father in heaven. Let every seed You have planted in the soul of Your servant bless and bear much fruit in every endeavor You place before me in this life, Jesus. Take me to new depths of proclaiming the gospel as You empower me in all spiritual wisdom and understanding of the mystery of Christ Jesus.  For You delight in the fellowship we share through prayer and the meditation of Your Word. By You and through You, I will proclaim the Good News to those who see me act and react to the storms of life. Let the quietness of my countenance shout volumes of Your grace. Let the calmness of my spirit reveal the stability of Your sovereignty. Let the assurance of hope draw others to the immeasurable gift of salvation. Father, I am Your willing vessel. Use me as You would see fit. Under the commanding Word of 1 John 3:18-20 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers I lift toward heaven.

My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves.
