Lord, I have tasted of Your kindness. Rid my heart of its tendency toward evil behavior. Sift my soul until deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and harsh speech is gone. I crave the nourishment of Your Word that gives me a daily taste of Your truth. Let me come to the cornerstone of faith that is only available in Christ, never taking for granted the honor of being chosen by You. Make me into the living stone that becomes a part of the spiritual foundation You are building in this world. Set me where You can best use me, Lord. My trust in You means I will not be disgraced. My hope rises and falls with Your truth as set upon the horizon of these days. Though this world is shallowed by deceit, let me see the blessed mercy of illuminating truth. The standards of Your Word are the only foundation upon which eternal structures can be built. You saw me in the miserable state of iniquity I was in and blessed me despite it all. Remind me to live chosen, Lord. Remind me to embrace the Spirit. Turn the dead stone of this life into a living one that perfectly fits into the eternal foundation of salvation in Christ Jesus. Under the blessed canopy of truth set down in Psalm 34:8 and the authority of my Savior and King, I bow in humble prayer.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
