Lord, my life and my purpose intertwine so beautifully inside the folding of Your perfect will. Because of Your guidance, my steps brought me onto the eternal path. Thank You for leaving the royal palace to come into my hovel. Thank You, Jesus, for setting aside Your divinity so that I could become a part of Your eternal nature. Simplify my faith with childlike innocence, Lord. Let me marvel at the intricacies of truth. Let me continually wonder at the inflection of Your Spirit as You flex my spiritual muscles. Only in Your strength can strongholds be broken. Only with Your companionship can I seek counsel that will free me from oppression. Tell me what is true, Lord. Equip me with a more permanent love that does not fluctuate depending on circumstance. Grant me an apologetic attitude that eagerly puts others’ needs above my own. Precious are You in my sight, Father. Holy is the given Word. Let me treat all You have given as the treasure that it is. Only Your Spirit can grant me insight that is daily applicable to how I can best glorify You. Lord, help me resist my own preferences and predilections. Refine me like silver through the flaming adversity of trial. With fingers dipped in holiness, purify my heart as only You can by removing the weight of vanity and selfish ambition. Hold me accountable through Your living promises. May Your Word be etched with permanence in my soul. Your Name and renown is my purpose, Lord. Under the blessedness of truth in Psalm 51:5-7 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Behold, I was brought forth in guilt,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
