Blessed is the one who has been given all things in Christ. Holy is the believer who rests fully in His Name. What need have I that You do not address, Lord God? What purpose matters more than bringing glory to You? Through the cross I have been invited to the fountain. Through the resurrection I have been bathed and cleansed in the stream. A beggar searching for pardon was not turned away as absolution flowed in a trickling river of blood and water by the pointed tip of a spear thrust into the flesh of my Savior. No longer do I need to beg for power against sin. That power shook the earth thousands of years ago while divinity hung exposed and mutilated as a willing substitute. God, my Father, cover this life with a blanket of holiness that shields me from worldly desires which only lead astray. Nothing is withheld from those who truly believe in Your salvation. Your way is perfect, Lord. Let guilt no longer pummel me with spear tips of condemnation. Let sin no longer mark the path I walk. Let lusts have no influence over my decisions. I bow before You, grateful for Your mercy and comforted by Your grace. Let the light of divine love chase away the shadows of misery. Because You have made me Yours, I need not fear tomorrow. Under the blessed truth of the holy Word in Psalm 36:9-10 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

For the fountain of life is with You;
In Your light we see light.
Prolong Your mercy to those who know You,
And Your righteousness to the upright of heart.
