Today’s Prayer

Stir up my keen interest with holy provocation to know You more, Lord God Almighty. Grant me more than an impression of Your seal of love. Let me know it by experience. Only through You can the scattered be brought back together. Only in You can the broken be restored. You are altogether good and perfect, Jesus. Your heart is not a mixture of combustible contents but a steady stream of peace and assurance. Your promises are a breastplate of glory that adorns the treasure of Your Word. Let Your power be manifested in my life. Let Your grace become a canopy over my heart. Your justice is my refuge. Your tenderness is my stronghold when I make mistakes. Bring to my remembrance Your holy existence upon the earth as You worked with divine fingers to weave a tapestry of salvation using threads of immortality alongside the threads of death. Unite all that is contrary in me with a resplendent sense of completion in the covenant. In You the glory of heaven and earth combine to bring light into the darkness. In this sacred symmetry Lord, let me find more of You and less of me. Under the Word in John 3:29-30 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

He who has the bride is the groom; but the friend of the groom, who stands and listens to him, rejoices greatly because of the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full. He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:29-30, NASB
