Keep my heart assured within the blanket of Your promises when the chill of life circumstances creeps where it is not wanted. I need not question Your faithfulness when I feel abandoned and alone. You have promised never to leave me or forsake me. The fear of abandonment is only as valid as the rein I allow my feelings. When I lack understanding in a matter, Lord, let me learn the lesson You are teaching. You have promised that those seeking need only knock to have the door open to them. And when my own plans crumble to dust, let me turn over my stubborn willfulness and submit to Your will. For You have promised to make the way straight if I cease trusting in my own deceitful heart. Falling before You on my knees Lord, I wrap the blanket of Your promises around my trembling heart. Surely when I am afraid, I can trust in You. Prepare my heart and captivate my mind with thoughts of You, Jesus. Blow wind upon the holy embers until they burst into flames of faith that blaze bright during the times given me. I trust in Your promises, Lord. Because I love You, enable me to abide in Your Word and keep hold of Your promises. Under the mighty blessing of the Word in Romans 9:8 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as heirs.
