When my world reels and life is rocked by calamity, it is Your presence that becomes my refuge. When the foundations I once trusted in crumble and the security I relied on falls apart, I am reminded that there is only one foundation I can truly depend on. Jesus, You are my rock and my salvation. Let the thunder of Your passion infiltrate my spirit. Let the smoke of Your fiery mercy offer me solace amid adversity. Your truth is a blast of breath from heaven. Your Word is a mighty ribbon of lightning splitting the darkness of this world. God, take me as Your own and remake me without the flaws that hinder Your work. Pull me out of the comfortable waters that become like a bath tempting one to linger longer than need be in the realm of subtle compromises. Rescue me from the inundation of selfish thoughts that so easily turn to desire and motivation. Let my motivation be spiritually influenced in Your presence. For You are my only support. Thankfully, You do not deal with me as I deserve. Enable me to keep Your ways. Equip me to serve You with an incorruptible heart. Under the precious truth of the Word set down in 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 and the authority of Christ my Savior, I bow in humble prayer.

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
