It is the sweetest of consolations to know I have a hiding place in You, Jesus. When stalked mercilessly by the enemy, I can run into Your arms for protection. Your Word shields me from deception by armoring me with truth. When wandering in unknown territory, I can call out for Your guidance, knowing You are there. Grace me with faith to see through the murky illusions of human emotion. Illuminate the way, Lord. From everlasting You have secured peace and salvation for Your beloved. Let those who have been quickened by grace rejoice with exuberance that sparks the embers of hope in a weary soul. It is You who carries the pieces of the broken. You who fashions that rebuilding of a shattered heart. You smooth what is sharp by the touch of compassion. You heal the diseased by a mere word from Your mouth. Let Your touch never be taken for granted. Let Your presence be ultimately enjoyed. May Your Name define me and Your holiness alter my desires. I have set You as a seal upon my heart. My lips delight to bring You prayerful praise. God, You are worthy and the only relationship of eternal worth in my life. Let me be mindful of what You created me to do. Help me live in tune with Your song of Good News. Bring me into the depths when I become distracted by the shallows. Truly, it is the sweetest consolation to know my place is with You. Under the blessed assurance of Proverbs 18:10 and the authority of the King of kings, Christ my Savior, I bow in adoring prayer.
