Rid my heart of all assaults that tend toward carnal illusions. You are my God and King. In Your Kingdom I know there is far more to enjoy than my heart can presently imagine. Enhance my devotion with thoughts of what is to come when thoughts of what is perplex and trouble me. Let the calling and election be secure as my heart sifts through the contents of Your treasured Word each day. May Spirit-inspired application make a difference that transforms and shields me from influences not fit for Kingdom citizens. I give You my meditation and my pondering, Lord. I take Your hand along the journey into territory unknown, knowing that as long as I am with You, I will remain in the land of promise. Keep me far from the boundaries of worldly indulgence, Lord Jesus. Let me dwell safely in Your land of heavenly promise. The only way is Your way, Lord God. Keep my steps secure on the path You have set before me, the only one that leads me home. Under the blessedness of Psalm 17:5-6 and the authority of my Savior, Christ Jesus, I bow in humble prayer.
