Within Your presence I can lie down in eternal safety. Your salvation envelopes me with a rest that offers unique, unrivaled peace. Hear my desperate plea to cry out for Your manifest presence and the revelation of Your truth. The grain of greed so prevalent in this world no longer sustains me. The wine of indulgence does not quench the thirst of my soul. Your joy is high above any such things, Lord. Your compassion and grace are my food and water. Grace is the grain that nourishes a corrupt soul. Compassion is the wine that soothes the pain from festering wounds. Lord, I need You. Your heart is my anchor. The light of Your face as revealed in Your Word is the only good I can trust in. What sacrifice could I offer that could even come close to the sacrifice You made for me? When unsavory emotions assault me Lord, only Your counsel can help me sift through the lessons I need to learn. Through Your Spirit wisdom is applied amidst the hurt. Lord, let me ponder Your magnificence in the deepest recesses of my heart. Under the blessing of Psalm 23:1-3 and the authority of Christ I bow in prayer.

Yahweh is my shepherd:
