Lord, You have left an example that those known as Your followers should heed. The graciousness of Your personal touch was evidence of Your supreme goodness. Empower Your servant to do good as You did good when You walked upon this planetary orb. May I not grow weary in extending grace nor grow lethargic to serve by doing good to others. Are others gladdened by the sight of me or do I bring a cloud of dread wherever I go? Do not let danger or difficulty deter me. May no obstacle give me reason to find excuse. By Your Spirit, lead me to the objects of Your gracious intentions. When former plans and old ways fail me Lord, let me not be resistant to trying new ways and methods. A fresh approach sometimes achieves much more than tried methods. Grant me the strength of perseverance and the wisdom to submit to Your leadership in every encounter. It is by Your example that I want to walk through life. In the wisdom of Jeremiah 18:15 and Christ’s authority I bow in humble prayer.
For my people have forgotten Me.
They have burned incense to false gods.
