Truly Lord Your mercies ease the sting of suffering. Your tenderness lifts up the weary. Your presence is our prosperity. Because of the greatness of Your love, I do not need to settle for lesser things. Even when rains of adversity fall, each drop brings Your unforeseen blessing. Enduring sleepless nights offers me great opportunity to seek Your presence in the darkness. When my many tears are captured by Your hands, it is Your Spirit that anoints them with healing. Sometimes it is the very unlikely things that heighten my alertness to Your presence. Sometimes Your mercy comes disguised, Your blessing hidden within trials. Grant me the wisdom to know and the ability to hear Your voice each day. The promise of Your Word is enough for me not to doubt Your goodness or Your love. When I am betrayed, when darkness seems to claim victory, or when I stumble terribly, I know that Your nearness holds me steady and heals the pain. Let the pain and trials remind my heart that this is not my home. Help me pass through with grace, Lord. Under the canopy of the holy Word in 2 Corinthians 5:4-5 and the authority of my blessed Savior, Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.

For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now the One who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
