Stand my soul upon the foundation stones of saving grace. Fill Your beloved with compassion for others. May I pity the suffering and comfort the mourning. Whether calamity has befallen because of sin or sorrow, fill my day with good works that endeavor to reflect Kingdom ideals. Lord, keep my heart arrows from aiming at outer correctness without balancing the bow of faith with inner holiness. Such actions will only cause wounding to others, an arrow that pierces flesh rather than pointing them toward heaven’s horizon. Help me strive for a conscience void of offense so that I can serve full of Your Spirit. Teach me to use what little influence I have to promote love. And when I am mocked, ridiculed, or scorned, enable me to turn the other cheek so that I may confess You before others. Let me stand opposed to this world’s standards as I keep my feet firmly planted on the rock of Your truth, standing solid in the Kingdom of Your blessing. Under the truth of Your Word in Luke 6:31-32, 35 and the authority of Christ I bow in humble prayer.

As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for He is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
