God of all creation, let us love the way You love. You are the only one who can complete us. Bring fiery passion into the soul of Your precious ones. Ignite the flames of zeal for Your Name. Overshadow all pain in spirit, soul, and body by the goodness of Your indwelling Holy Spirit. Flame the embers of faith so that Your people shine brightly even in dark times. Hold Your beloved church tenderly in an embrace of hope when heaven’s horizon fades from view. Let us linger in divine love when persecution beckons us to worldly defense. Keep brothers and sisters of faith from falling into the abyss of frustration, Jesus. Lead Your people to the open space of loving trust when tangled in the temptations of emotion that tend to knot up hearts with carnal inclinations. I thank You, Lord, for fueling faith, for helping hope, and for living through Your church so that the world is introduced to love. Under the beautiful Word of 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 and the glorious authority of Christ, these prayers are Yours to hear, God Almighty.

Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.
