The Lord God Almighty reigns. Let all the children rejoice beneath the canopy of sovereignty. Your power controls the tempest of wickedness that prevails on the earth. To everything, there is a season. With love eternal, the Lord majestically replenishes the poor in spirit. Let Your glory gleam among the fiery horrors in this world, Lord. Even in the fall of an empire, Your will is never thwarted. Let the thrones of man clash. Your throne is untouched by the calamities of mankind. Nothing happens that You have not foreseen. Let Your divine hand turn the wheels of time in the direction of eternity. All our troubles and tears are precious to You, Lord. What blessed assurance to know that You see all. Even the fiends know of Your supremacy and tremble. Trouble is only permitted to roam on a short tether. Even the prison of the grave has a warden whose power is unsurpassed. Remember Your servant, Lord. Bring the ones You love into Your Kingdom on the wings of freedom. Under the holiness of the Word in Psalm 45:5-7 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Your arrows are sharp
    in the heart of the king’s enemies;
    the peoples fall under You.
