Today’s Prayer

To whom do I belong if not to the Lord of all the earth? My heart has decided to respond effectively to Your choosing, God. Truly, Your love comes first. Every ounce of trust I have is reserved for You, the Prince of Peace. Let me rest nowhere except in Christ Jesus. The emptiness of my soul can only be filled by You. My heart daily seeks out Your embrace of divine wisdom. ‘Your will be done’ has become my deepest desire. Your Holy Word is my foundation. I rejoice in the new creation empowered by You. Let me continually search out the divinely appointed tasks. I delight to be kept by You, Jesus. Let me be cognizant of the company I keep, choosing fellowship with those who build up faith instead of tearing it down. Make my conversation more heavenly than earthly, Lord. Make my heart and mind capable of learning from Your example, Lord. May I walk earnestly with You through my days so that there is no question as to whom I belong. Under the canopy of blessing in Isaiah 43:1-3 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Now thus says the Lord,
He who created you, O Jacob,
    He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
    I have called you by name, you are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
    and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
    and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 43:1-3, ESV
