Lord, in the suspenseful throttle of life events, let faith be my cure for the malady of anxiety. It is Your Spirit that settles my heart. Within the pages of Your Word, I find holy serenity. Only the blessed reminder of Your sovereignty chases away all fear of the future and worries of the present. Fix my thoughts on Your goodness. Captivate my heart with one motive alone – to accept Your will and not my own. Lord, I diligently seek the assurance of Your presence though I often need the reminder of Your sovereignty. Grant me unstaggering trustfulness in Your promises, Lord. Let me hold fast to the anchor in the storm. Because I believe in Your goodness, I can be confident that You will not let harm come to Your beloved if it is not beneficial. Though events perplex me and the unknown taunts me, I trust in Your plan and delight to remember that Your all-seeing eye is not surprised by anything. Truly, Your riches are unsearchable. Truly, Your mercy is never ending. Fill this vessel with a trust so abiding that I sink into the ocean of faith You have called me to. No matter the circumstances, You are good all the time, Lord. Let Your beloved rest in Your goodness. Under the sweet truth of the Word set as a canopy over those who believe in Romans 11:33 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
