Blessed Father in heaven, Your presence is my refuge. This world is frightening in its growing darkness. Draw Your beloved into Your warm embrace to comfort my anxious soul and minister to my weary heart. With You there is light. Your Word glimmers in my heart, revealing the shadowed crevices I never saw before. Replenish the parts of me which are languishing as You remind me of the truth of who I am in You -holy chosen and beloved. I need not fear the distresses of this world. Dress me up in joy’s radiance so I am empowered to fight for the stolen ground the enemy has taken. May the equipment You have supplied for the fight be fully utilized as I charge into the spiritual battle under the canopy of Your righteousness. Help me, Lord, to get back what is rightfully mine in Christ. You have shown me that love is worth the fight. You have taught me that faith is worth the battle. You have saved me because victory is Your gift of hope to my heart. Under the power of 2 Timothy 4:7-8 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I lay these prayers upon the altar of God.

This is the only race worth running. I’ve run hard right to the finish, believed all the way. All that’s left now is the shouting—God’s applause! Depend on it, He’s an honest judge. He’ll do right not only by me, but by everyone eager for His coming.
