The strength of Your love buoys me in the fiercest storm. Though the circumstances of life are often as unstable as sand, Jesus, You are my rock. With gratitude, I seclude myself in the fortress of Your Word. Deliver me from the foes that taint me from without and those that vex me from within. I can often be my own worst enemy. When the arrows of condemnation are lobbed in my direction, let Your truth be my shield. I call upon You when the weight of my burdens becomes too heavy. Jesus, Your shoulders are stronger than mine. Remind me that I need not carry troubles on my own. Torrents of temptation are often swirling around my heart. Lord, curb unholy desires that wedge themselves between me and Your will. Beneath the lyrical praise are secretive distresses that sometimes I don’t even realize are there. Yet, there are no secrets from You, Lord. You see what I cannot see. Let my soul soar and fly with fresh revelation. Inspire me toward holiness. Equip me with insight. Come swiftly upon the wings of salvation and root me in grace. Truly, Your love is my strength. Under the blessed assurance of Your perfection in Psalm 73:26 and the authority of Christ, my Savior, I bow in humble prayer.
