Precious is Your Word, Lord. Delightful is Your presence. You offer life, purity, and sweetness to my thoughts. The riches of Your inheritance take the sting out of the liability of my soul. Your loving sacrifice removes the corruption so that my soul is preserved for Your Holy Kingdom. Continually clean me Lord, so that I am no longer stained by my former sins. Truly, Jesus, You offer the bread of God for the starving heart. Your love is manna from heaven that blesses the hardest moments of life’s existence this side of the veil. Bring me to the fountain of living water so that my thirst for purpose is utterly quenched. Whatever part of me remains barren and dry, You can replenish with the sweet water of heaven. Enable Your beloved through the Spirit to overcome the hardship that assaults the soul. My heart turns to You when the clouds of despair move into my life. Your eternal horizon is unchangeable even if I cannot presently see it because of the emotional clouds blocking my spiritual view. God, I praise You that You rule in spite of Your enemies. Victory is Yours. I need not fear the day’s troubles or tomorrow’s calamities. I look to You for the grace and mercy that sustains me. Conquer my heart’s battlefield and make it Your own, Jesus. Increase my love in the power of holiness. Set Your throne upon my soul and forever reign, Lord Jesus. Under the magnificent truth in Isaiah 1:16-17 and the authority of Christ, I bow in holy prayer.

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
    remove the evil of your deeds from before My eyes;
cease to do evil,
    learn to do good;
seek justice,
    correct oppression.
