My thoughts are tenderly entertained by pondering Your glory. Lord, You make something out of nothing. You turn this wretched heart of mine inside out so that the defiled contents are expunged. Open my eyes of faith so that I can see eternity. Take my heart in Your hands so that every pulse is a meditation on You, Jesus. Teach me to abide in truth regardless of how stealthy the world’s deception may be. I want to think thoughts pleasing to You, Lord. Though my faults are numerous, I know that Your grace shields me. Let my days, hours, and moments be reverently offered to You, Lord. Your Spirit is the watchman that can keep my mind from straying outside the holy boundaries You set up for my protection. Your love is not superficial. Your choice is a treasure. Your inheritance is the portion of my soul that brings me the truest delight. I turn my eyes and heart away from eternal destruction and gloriously set my faith on the horizon of eternal salvation offered me in Christ. Under the blessed of assurance of the Word in Psalm 40:5 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.
Psalm 40:5, ESV
