Today’s Prayer

In the arms of the Shepherd, the sheep finds rest. There is only one who can truly carry me home. Jesus, You are the strength of Your people. A saving refuge to those called by Your Name. My heart exalts you. My Spirit rejoices in God, my Savior. The lyrics of the song in my heart are inspired by the fullness of Your Word. In You alone, my heart trusts. No matter how feeble my voice of prayer is, You hear my pleas for mercy. I hide myself behind the shield of Your love because You are my safe place. Daily, I regard the work of Your hands with awe and wonder. Measure my deeds in Your hands and sift the work I am called to do through the filter of Your sovereignty. When the wickedness of the world entices me, change my direction by blowing the winds of the Spirit my way. Speak peace over the chaos, Lord. I offer my hands as readily as I give You my heart. You are my rock. To You alone, I lift up my hands while bending in worship on feeble knees. Under the majesty of the Word in Hebrews 1:3-4 and the authority of Christ Jesus, my Savior, I pray.

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the Name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
Hebrews 1:3-4, ESV
