Raise my holy expectations because You are the giver and doer of great things, Lord God Almighty. Use my anticipation to bolster my faith. Your Word is the fabric of truth that holds the universe together. You tie my soul with the threads of compassion and captivate my heart with the cord of love. Keep me from making choices that dishonor Your Word. Walk me in a way that upholds the foundations of Your truth. Accept my repentant and contrite spirit as I gratefully approach You in confession. Your presence is cleansing. Your forgiveness is solace to my soul. Lord, You are altogether trustworthy and good. Though I lift up my pleas with desperation and reveal my expectations, You are far more capable than my finite mind can fathom. In safety, I can rest because You are my God. In peace, I can ponder because You are the cornerstone that holds it all together. My hope is in You, my Savior and King. In the evening, Your voice soothes the aches of a frustrating day. In the morning, Your Word prepares my soul. Speak to me clearly, Lord, and Your servant will listen. My expectations rise like an early sun on eternal horizons because You are near me. Under the canopy of blessing in the Word set down in Isaiah 65:6-7 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Seek the Lord while he may be found;
    call upon Him while he is near;
let the wicked forsake his way,
    and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that He may have compassion on him,
    and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
